The Congregation of the Daughters of the Cross of Liege express our deep sadness and sorrow for all individuals who have been victims and survivors of abuse within the Catholic Church in England and Wales.
We are encouraged by the establishment of the Religious Life Safeguarding Service (RLSS), which has been created to replace previous alignment arrangements with dioceses. The RLSS is an independent team of safeguarding professionals dedicated to providing safeguarding services for the Religious of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.
We continue to approach safeguarding with a strong commitment to protecting individuals from harm, especially those who are particularly vulnerable. We fully support the Church’s renewed approach to safeguarding.
We continue to pray for all who have suffered.
